Leonardo Najmias is Managing Partner at Olivo Partners, an advisory firm linking the Latin American business community with the Israeli innovation and venture capital ecosystem. Leonardo is an external advisor to McKinsey & Company, as well as an external advisor to City Cancer Challenge and the Partnership for Central America.

Leonardo has led numerous advisory projects, including strategy, M&A, capital raising, investment analysis, valuations, and governance; has completed nearly $2B in transactions, analyzed dozens of private equity investment opportunities, and actively participated in management of portfolio companies. Leonardo has experience in multiple industries across several countries in the Americas and Spain, including consumer & retail, healthcare, food & beverage, agribusinesses, financial services, real estate & hospitality, building materials, energy, infrastructure, transport, telecom, and media.

Leonardo’s past professional experience includes having been Managing Director at Mesoamerica, a leading Latin American advisory and private equity boutique (2000-2019), Associate at McKinsey & Company’s Mexico City office (1998-2000), Bayer USA (1998), Procter & Gamble Mexico (1996-1997), and the Mexican Petroleum Institute (1995-1996). He also has ample participation in Boards of Directors as board member, committee member, and as direct advisor to the board.

Leonardo was born in Mexico City and lives in San Jose, Costa Rica. He is a Chemical Engineer from Univesidad Iberoamericana and has a Master of Chemical Engineering from Carnegie Mellon University. He also completed the mini-MBA program with McKinsey & Co. and the Business Innovation in Global Healthcare program at Harvard Business School.
